How to make bread
Ingredients:
500g of strong bread flour
300ml of warm water
1 packet of dried yeast
Teaspoon of salt
Teaspoon of caster sugar
Splash of oil
Method:
1. Weigh out the flour and pour into a large bowl
2. Add the sugar and salt
3. Add the yeast but don't let it touch the salt
4. Gradually add the water whilst stirring. If the mix doesn't come together add a little more water
5. Put some flour onto the kitchen side and take the dough out of the bowl
6. knead the dough for 10 minutes
7. Lightly oil a bowl and place the dough into it. Cover with clingfilm
8. Let the dough proof for an hour and half. Take out the bowl and shape the dough before placing it into a tin
9. Let the dough proof for another hour then bake for half an hour on 230 (Gas)
Tap on the bottom of the loaf to see if it is ready. Let it cool before you cut.
